One walls

Onewalls is a dynamic collective of artists
based in Nairobi, Kenya, renowned for their vibrant
and visually arresting murals.
Their work combines bright, bold color palettes
with themes inspired by ancient African civilizations,
weaving together the rich heritage of the continent
with modern urban aesthetics.
They blend the traditional and contemporary
in striking ways, drawing inspiration from African symbolism,
history, and mythology, while reflecting
the rhythms and narratives of contemporary city life.
Beyond their artwork,
onewalls is deeply engaged with social issues,
particularly around climate change and
gender equality.
They conduct interactive workshops
aimed at raising awareness about
environmental sustainability and promoting gender equity.
Their art-based workshops serve as platforms
for community engagement,
using creative expression as a tool to inspire action and dialogue on these critical issues.
Through their murals, the crew amplifies
marginalized voices, sparking conversations that
address both local and global concerns.

During the Wild Mural Festival, One Walls has been associated to Local Ocean Conservation that works with the protection of marine life on the Kenyan coast. The artits will organize kids and adults street art workshops.

Local ocean is a A not-for-profit,
community-based marine conservation organisation
whose mission is to protect and conserve
sea turtle populations and their habitats,
based in Watamu, Kenya.
Their mission is to develop and implement
sustainable marine resource management models,
utilising sea turtles as a flagship species for local ocean health.
Watamu Turtle Watch is their flagship programme.
It was started by local residents in 1997 to protect nesting sea turtles.
Now it sits under ocean conservation along with Diani Turtle Watch, Bycatch release, beach profiling and specialist Rehabilitation Centre for sick and injured sea turtles.
The combination of ocean conservation,
education and outreach programmes enables us
to make a real difference in ensuring the future
of the marine environment.
